BURLINGTON, Vt. — Kurt Steidl scored a career-high 26 points and Vermont beat Hartford 92-81 on Sunday to snap a two-game losing streak.

Steidl made 5 of 9 3-pointers and 9 of 10 free throws. Dre Willis added 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds for the Catamounts (15-12, 7-5 America East).Ernie Duncan and Darren Payen scored 15 points each. Vermont shot 55 percent, 43 percent from the arc.
