Philippines boys enter quarterfinals of 2016 FIBA 3×3 U18 Asian Championships according to Slam Online.

The Philippine boys team in the 2016 FIBA 3×3 U18 Asian Championships is through to the quarterfinals, after winning both of their matches in day two of the tournament.

The squad of Rhayyan Amsali, John Lloyd Clemente, John Martin Galinato, and Kyle Tan wrapped up day one with a 1-1 card, losing to Qatar 15-21, but defeating South Korea 21-9.

John Lloyd Clemente plays the 2 and 3 position, he started playing basketball when he was in Grade 1. He is one of the reason why NU Bullpups won this year’s UAAP Juniors championship. If only he opted to play for the Philippines in the on-going FIBA Asia U18 Championship, he could surely help the Philippines through his playmaking and scoring prowess.
