ABS-CBN reports that Fil-American Sedrick Barefield finds new home at University of Utah.
After playing a semester at Southern Methodist University (SMU) last year, Filipino-American basketball star Sedrick Barefield has found a new home at the University of Utah.
Prepping for the upcoming season, Barefield has spent most of his summer at Utah’s practice facility, honing his basketball skills and building chemistry with his new teammates.

Sedrick Barefield averaged 20.6 points per game during his senior season at Centennial High School in Corona, California.He then attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) an NCAA D1 school last year but after playing only 16 minutes in 5 games, he decided to transfer to University of Utah.
Sedrick’s dad Ray Barefield, was a former college basketball player for San Diego State. His Filipina mom Kat Barefield is also a big influence in his basketball life, Kat is a registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Sports Nutrition Consultant and a sports junkie.
