Fil-Nigerian AJ Edu teams up with Rhayyan Amsali, Encho Serrano and Miguel Gomez de Liano for the Philippines in the 3×3 U18 World Cup 2017 in Chengdu, China June 28-July 2 according to FIBA.
Seventeen years old AJ Edu will be making his International debut for the Philippines while 6’3 Rhayyan Amsali of National University who just recently played in the FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup 2017 will play again for the Philippines. Adamson’s 5’11 Encho Serrano the best high school basketball player in the Philippines will also make a 3X3 debut for the Philippines alongside UP’s Juan Lopez De Liano. Serrano, who could have been the UAAP Juniors Most Valuable Player this past season (the honor went to University of the Philippines’ Juan Gomez De Liaño) were it not for the forfeiture of his team’s matches after he was found to be lacking in his paperwork.
The Philippines which is bracketed in Pool A will play first against Israel and Netherlands on June 28 and against Poland and Turkmenistan on June 30, 2017.
